El músico y actor cubano Yotuel Romero ha enviado dos mensajes en un breve video, primero, dando las gracias a todos los artistas que colaboraron en la realización de Patria y Vida, tema que en pocos días ya tenía más de 2 millones de seguidores en YouTube.
El segundo mensaje va dirigido directamente al régimen cubano: “Y, para el gobierno cubano, quiero decirle que, este que ustedes llaman ‘jinetero’, este viernes que viene, el viernes 26, va a hablar por primera vez en el Parlamento Europeo, por toda Cuba”.
El rapero hablará en un foro titulado "Patria y Vida, Arte y Política Unidos por Cuba". Enlace directo
El impacto sin precedentes logrado por la canción Patria y Vida en el interior de la isla, y que se ha extendido a gran parte de la comunidad hispanohablante en el exterior, ha provocado el que los voceros del régimen, como es habitual, emprendan una campaña de “fusilamiento de la personalidad”, con ofensas y acusaciones difamatorias. En el caso de Yotuel, lo han tildado de “jinetero” en los medios de comunicación por vivir en España y estar casado con una actriz española, lo cual ha desatado una campaña de protestas y apoyo hacia el rapero. El foro del viernes próximo es organizado por Renew Europe, el Parlamento Europeo y el Grupo Popular Europeo. Además de Yotuel, participará el artista del Movimiento San Isidro, Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara. También estarán presentes Dita Charanzova, vicepresidenta del PE, y Leopoldo López Gil, europarlamentario e integrante de la subcomisión de Derechos Humanos del PE. El moderador será Javier Larrondo, de la ONG Prisoners Defenders.
