El gobierno cubano promulgó una resolución que niega a los médicos y otros profesionales de la salud que han ‘‘desertado'' la posibilidad de revalidar sus títulos en el exterior, según varios comentarios recogidos en la internet el viernes.

Rodríguez-Cáceres. "Automáticamente nos deja en un limbo, dejamos de ser médicos'', agregó Rodríguez-Cáceres, de 29 años, un nativo de Holguín que desertó en el 2002 en Timor del Este, una pequeña isla nación en el Océano Pacífico. "Todo el mundo está como en un shock'', precisó Rodríguez-Cáceres, que llegó a Miami en diciembre del 2008. Los comentarios en la internet están basados en una resolución del Ministerio de Salud Pública, fechada el 8 de enero y mostrada en algunas páginas de la red. Al cierre de esta edición no fue posible confirmar independientemente la veracidad o alcance de la resolución. La resolución podría ser parte de un esfuerzo del gobierno cubano para detener el escape masivo de médicos cubanos, la mayoría de ellos durante "misiones'' en otros países como Venezuela. Se estima que unos 2,000 médicos y otros profesionales de la salud cubanos han abandonado sus puestos sin permiso desde el 2006 y han pedido permiso para radicarse en Estados Unidos. Cualquier personal médico que quiere revalidar sus títulos en el extranjero generalmente tiene que presentar copias válidas de sus títulos y otros documentos cubanos. La nueva resolución, accesible en el blog Penúltimos Días, restringe la expedición y legalización de ‘‘documentos docentes'' para los profesionales de la salud a aquellos que tengan "la liberación laborar para emigrar, de tipo definitiva e indefinida, que emite el Ministro de Salud Pública''. La resolución esta fechada el 8 de enero y firmada por el Ministro de Salud Pública, José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera. El portal DiariodeCuba también cita a un médico cubano en el exilio que recién obtuvo sus documentos diciendo que la resolución es de noviembre, pero que "entró en vigor en 2010 y paraliza la entrega de cualquier documentación legal a los médicos que se han quedado fuera del país''. Dos fuentes de la Consultoría Jurídica Internacional, en La Habana, uno de los bufetes legales que se ocupan de obtener las copias válidas de los documentos, aseguraron que "no se está haciendo nada'' con los títulos de Medicina, según DiariodeCuba. Los trámites con el resto de las profesiones prosiguen con normalidad.
