El presidente de Bolivia, Evo Morales, afirmó que Fidel Castro "últimamente" no sabe "lo que está pasando" en Cuba, según una entrevista publicada este martes en la versión española de la revista Vanity Fair.
"Fidel últimamente solo tenía ya que preparar sus discursos. Pero no sabía lo que estaba pasando. Eso al menos me comentaron", respondió el mandatario a una pregunta sobre la edad de las personas en el ejercicio del poder.
Morales dijo que él no quería presentarse a un tercer mandato, pero se lo "pidieron desde las organizaciones sociales" y aún se siente con fuerzas. "Me encanta la tierra. Y mi mayor deseo es volver al campo, a mi terreno en el Chapare", indicó, y negó que vaya a seguir presentándose aunque se lo pidan sus seguidores. "No, no creo. Hasta aquí nomás. Yo recomendaría que si las autoridades electas quieren hacer servicio, tiene que ser mientras sean jóvenes. No tanto por mandatos, sino por edad, hasta los 60 o los 62 años", explicó. Sobre la monarquía española, Morales dijo que se llevaba "bien" con el Rey Juan Carlos I. "El Rey es mi amigo, nos entendemos. Con el príncipe no tanto. Me mira raro", dijo sin abundar en detalles. |
